Terms and Conditions
1. The Promotion
The Promoter is Valero Energy Ltd, 27th Floor, 1 Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London, E14 5AA. Our company number is 08566216 and our VAT number is GB238924044.
The Promotion will run at participating Texaco service stations in England, Wales and Northern Ireland from 00:01 on 5 th May 2025 to 23:59 on 29 th June 2025 (“Promotional Period”).
There will be one Prize Draw, to be drawn within 21 days of the end of the Promotional Period.
2. Participants
This Promotion is only open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over who are (at the time of entry) members of Star Rewards and opted in to email communications. Employees, and the immediate families of employees, of the Promoter, of Texaco branded retailers, of their associated companies, and any agent of the Promoter (or, if the agent is a corporate body, any employee thereof, and their immediate families) retained in connection with the administration of, or supply of prizes for the Promotion are not eligible to enter the Promotion.
Participants must be a Star Rewards member prior to filling up, and have a registered Star Rewards email address, to enter.
Any participant who has opted out of receiving email communications at the time they fill up or when the draw is made will be automatically excluded from the Promotion.
3. How to Enter
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, “Star Rewards” is the loyalty scheme operated by Valero Energy Ltd and a “Star Rewards member” is a registered member of Star Rewards.
A Star Rewards member must purchase 30 litres or more of Texaco fuel in a single transaction at a participating Texaco service station, and then scan their Star Rewards app, card or key fob when paying, during the Promotional Period, to be automatically entered into the Prize Draw. The transaction must be a Qualifying Purchase under the rules of the Star Rewards Scheme available at https://starrewards.valero.com/terms-and-conditions/.
A maximum of three (3) entries per week per Star Rewards account will be allowed. Only the first three transactions made in any one week will be eligible for an entry. The competition weeks are:

Entries to the Promotion will only be eligible if they originate from a Star Rewards member at a participating Texaco service station using their Star Rewards account themselves. Entries made in any other way will not be eligible to win a prize. No third party or bulk entries. Entries via third parties or syndicates, or by macros or other automated means, will be disqualified.
4. Prizes
- 1 A 5 night trip to New York for two, including: economy class flights from London, UK to New York City, USA, with one item of checked luggage; 5 nights’ 4-star hotel accommodation in New York City, based on sharing a double occupancy room, with breakfast; return airport transfers in New York City; karate class; Chinatown food tour; pizza making class; karaoke; visit to retro arcade bar with $100 USD bar tab; and travel insurance (except cover for pre-existing medical conditions and for any additional costs applying if the participant(s) are aged 70 or over.) Does not include travel to and from UK airport, other meals or any other personal expenses. At least one traveller must be 21 or over. Under-18s require parent/guardian consent to travel. 5. Winners and claiming prizes
All valid entries will be entered into the random Prize Draw.
The draw will be conducted using a computer process that produces verifiably random results.
Winners will be notified of a win by email using the email address linked to their Star Rewards account within 35 days of the draw.
Points Prizes will be loaded to the winner’s Star Rewards account within 35 days of the draw.
Winners of other prizes (New York trip, goody bags, cinema tickets) must claim their prizes by replying to the notification email within 14 days of receipt. The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner, but if they are unable to do so, the winner will forfeit the prize, which will be redrawn. The Promoter is not responsible for any email delivery failure for reasons outside its reasonable control, including a winner failing to supply their correct email address.
If a winner is disqualified, the relevant prize will be redrawn and awarded to another winner selected in the same manner.
To claim a prize, you must also agree to be bound by any further terms and conditions that apply (for example, the Star Rewards terms and conditions as to the use of Points, cinema admissions of entry, airline and hotel terms for the New York trip, etc).
The Promoter has no responsibility in the event a winner is not able to use their prize for reasons other than the Promoter’s breach of these Ts & Cs, negligence, or other wrongdoing.
No cash alternative is available.
The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will publish and/or make available each of the prize winners’ surnames and counties of residence. The prize winners have the right to object to this publication. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the winners’ details to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
6. Promoter Rights
The Promoter may cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, and these Terms and Conditions, if circumstances outside its control make this unavoidable.
Save that the prizes consisting of Star Rewards points can be exchanged under the terms of the Star Rewards scheme, prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for monetary value or for any other form of compensation.
The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies are responsible for any loss, expense or damage which any participant in the Promotion suffers in connection with the Promotion or accepting or using a prize, where it is caused by breach of these Ts & Cs, negligence, or other wrongdoing by the Promoter, or its associated agencies or companies. However, the Promoter and its associated agencies and companies are not responsible for any such loss, expense or damage to the extent that it results from circumstances beyond their reasonable control.
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. The Promoter may require such information as is reasonably necessary for this purpose and a prize may be withheld unless and until the entrant’s eligibility is verified. The Promoter reserves the right to eliminate or disqualify any entries or entrants that are in breach of these Terms and Conditions or the spirit of the Promotion. Those who try and circumvent the entry process and/or entry instructions by any method will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.
7. Columbia TriStar Marketing Group, Inc. (“Columbia”)
The Promoter is conducting the Prize Draw in association with Columbia.
Columbia is not responsible to any entrant to the Prize Draw, including the winner(s) of the Prize Draw, for any loss or damage they may suffer in relation to the Prize Draw or any of the prizes, except for loss and damage arising from personal injury or death caused by Columbia’s negligence.
8. Privacy Policy
The Promoter may collect and process the following data about Participants: name, contact number, email address, date of birth and county of residence.

9. General
It is a Star Rewards member’s responsibility to check the email associated with their Star Rewards account to see whether they have won any prizes in the Promotion.
If any of these Terms and Conditions are found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, it will be disregarded, but the rest of the Terms and Conditions shall remain in force.
These terms and conditions are governed by English law. If any entrants to this Promotion need to take court proceedings against the Promoter, then they may do this in the courts in England, or of any other part of the United Kingdom where they are a permanent resident. If the Promoter needs to take court proceedings against any entrants to this Promotion, then it may do this in the courts in England, or of any other part of the United Kingdom where the entrant is a permanent resident.

Q. Do I need to be a Star Rewards member to enter the Prize Draw?
A. Yes, all entries must be from Star Rewards members so that winners can receive their Points prize into their Star Rewards account.
Q. What do I need to do to enter?
A. Entrants must purchase 30 litres or more of fuel at a participating Texaco service station.
Q. How do I enter?
A. To take part, customers must be a Star Rewards member prior to transacting and be opted in to accept Star Rewards scheme communications. Star Rewards members simply scan their Star Rewards app, card or key fob when they purchase 30 litres or more of Texaco fuel. They’ll automatically be entered into the draw. Any participant who is opted out of email communications at the time of their entry will automatically be excluded from this promotion. Any participant who has not scanned their app, card or key fob will not be entered into the Prize Draw.
Q. Why must I be opted into email communications?
It’s really important that Star Rewards members opt-in to email communications, so that they can receive their winner’s email.
Q. How do I know if I’ve won?
A. The Prize Draw will run after the end of the promotional period (29 th June 2025). Winners will receive an email within 35 days of the Prize Draw if they have won. Star Rewards members must be opted in to marketing communications when the prize draw takes place to receive an email notifying them if they have won.

New York trip: prize details and conditions
Prize package for two people (the “Recipients”) includes only the following elements:
Airfare: Return flights from London, UK to New York City, USA
Transfers: Return airport transfers in New York City
Accommodation: 5 nights’ luxury (4*) hotel accommodation in New York City, based on sharing a double occupancy room, with breakfast
Private Karate Class: (1 hour) Includes instructor, tour of the dojo, uniform and belt
Private Chinatown Food Tour with Chef: (1.5 hours) Includes chef guide and food tastings
Pizza Making Class: (4 hours) Includes learning the secrets, sampling pizzas made by experts, make up to 4 pizzas & post pizza class support
Karaoke: (2 hours). Includes private karaoke room
Retro Arcade Bar: $100 USD bar tab
Travel Insurance
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
The Recipients must travel at the same time with the same itinerary.
At least one Recipient must be aged 21 or over. Any Recipient under 18 will require parent or guardian permission prior to travel.
The flights are direct economy flights from major international airports in London only (London Heathrow, London Gatwick, London Luton or London Stansted) to New York City, inclusive of all applicable airport taxes, fees, and duties. Flights include 1x item of checked luggage per person. Maximum weight restrictions vary by airline. Luggage exceeding the standard allowance will be payable by the Recipients at check in.
Travel arrangements to and from the Recipients’ homes and the London departure airport, including costs relating to public transport, fuel or parking, and travel arrangements within New York (other than airport transfers) do not form part of the prize and are the responsibility of the Recipients.
A valid credit or debit card will be required for security deposit purposes when checking into accommodation.
Accommodation is based on 2 adults sharing a double occupancy room at a 4-star hotel in New York City. Accommodation will otherwise be selected by the prize provider at their sole discretion.
Accommodation does not include any meals (excluding breakfast), incidentals, gratuities, or telephone calls.
Any other personal expenses incurred during the trip will be the responsibility of the Recipients.
Other than as stated in the description of the prize package, above, the prize excludes meals and drinks, excursions, attractions, treatments, visas, personal expenses and anything not expressly stated in the prize package.
All elements of the prize are subject to availability. If unavailable, experiences and items of a similar nature and value may be offered at prize provider’s discretion.
The winner must contact the prize provider with three preferred travel dates in three separate months no later than six weeks prior to departure. The prize provider will use reasonable efforts to accommodate these dates but otherwise the flight itinerary will be selected by prize provider at their reasonable discretion.
Travel insurance is subject to restrictions and the terms and conditions of the insurance provider. It is the responsibility of the Recipients to meet any additional costs relating to obtaining insurance cover for any pre-existing medical condition and for any additional costs as may be specified where either or both of the Recipients are aged 70 or over.
All elements of the prize must be taken in a single trip.
Once booked, the prize cannot be amended, refunded or transferred.
No cash alternative is available
The Recipients will require a passport valid for at least 6 months on date of travel.
Any necessary visas (including ESTA) or additional insurance are the responsibility of the Recipients at their own expense.
The trip cannot include any date from 21st December 2025 – 4th January 2026, any UK public holiday, or Easter Sunday.
The prize is valid for 12 months from the date of notification of winning. All travel must be completed within that time.
The karate class will be tailored to the individual participant’s abilities. Any underlying health conditions should be disclosed at time of booking and at the time of the class.
A bar tab for the specified bar is provided to the value of $100 USD, including any gratuity. Minimum age for entrance and service of alcohol is 21 years old. Photographic ID may be required.
